Service Aide Job Opening at Armstrong Redwoods & Austin Creek
Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods is hiring! If you’d like to join our team as our one of our Seasonal Service Aides, and enjoy working with the visiting public, in our state park this is the job for you.
The perfect candidate works great on a team, can work up to 20 hours per week or more depending on workload with weekend days required. The candidate will also have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, oral and written communication, and be able to multitask like a champ. The candidate will primarily operate the front kiosk collecting entrance fees and provide info to park visitors, but must also be comfortable working with volunteers and other staff on trail projects, be okay with some campground maintenance, cleaning restrooms, litter removal and more. The candidate must be able to lift up to 30-40 lbs, have fine hand-motor skills, can work a cash register and has prior money handling experience. Prior experience with hand and power tools is an added bonus and a clean driving record is a must. Salary is $11.00 per hour.

Camp Host Wanted!
Stewards is currently looking to station a volunteer camp host at Bullfrog Pond Campground. The camp host will interpret park features to the public, as well as assist with aspects of campground operation and maintenance work. The essential job functions of these positions include: visitor services, maintenance services, effective communication and clerical/recordkeeping work.
Board Members Wanted!
Stewards is currently looking to add a few new board members to our leadership team. The board plays a key role in working with the Executive Director to make policy and operational decisions for the organization as well as helping to raise the funds needed to carry out our work. Board members commit to attending monthly board meetings and at least one monthly committee meeting, as well as giving at a level that fits their ability. You are welcome to attend a monthly board meeting before you decide to apply. They usually occur on the 4th Thursday of the month at 5:30 pm at the Stewards’ office.
