Pinniped Monitoring Program volunteers collect data to ensure the protection of harbor seals during Russian River estuary activities as they pertain to mandated work required by the Sonoma County Water Agency for the Biological Opinion.
There are two ways that people can volunteer for this program. One is as a State Park volunteer where you can count your hours for a park pass.
You can be a Stewards volunteer and earn a $50 per shift stipend to cover your mileage and a meal. When you sign up it's important to let staff know your preference.
